Bem vindo a nossa Casa! We are an association based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, made up mainly of Canadians who were born in Macau or who are descendants of families originally from Macau and who are now living in Western Canada.

The Association is dedicated to the cultural and social promulgation of Macau's unique heritage. Macau has, for the last four hundred and fifty years, been the confluence of cultures and specifically where East meets West.

The Portuguese, in their quest for social and economic expansion to Cathay during the Age of Discoveries, made Macau a major route for their commercial and economic activities.

Through the centuries Portuguese culture merged with Chinese and those in the East in an unique and diverse way to spawn a hybrid culture, that is still nurtured and embellished by the population in Macau and their descendants now living in different parts of the world.

Membership in our Association is open to everyone, especially Canadian Macanese and their families living in Canada, including persons associated by blood, relation, or cultural background that can be traced directly or indirectly to the traditions, values, and cultural heritage of Macau and individuals interested in furthering our main objective of preserving our Macanese heritage, culture, traditions and history.
